) swapping the RC dome light to a Lexus IS. Everything seems to work properly but the fitting of some clips in the windshield side. Reading the comments of the video a guy points out that only some RC dome light assembly really fit all the IS mounting points. Unfortunately the guy does not clarify which P/N is the right one for the IS.
Does anyone know the right P/N? I found the following dome light assy (P/N: 1D111-227G), but before I buy it I want to ensure this is the one which perfectly fits the IS.

PD: The donor RC is a 2021 RC-F Track, in case this helps. My IS is a 2014 IS250 base with the luxury pack. Both are european models.

edit: I think I know why his didn't fit and why he didn't respond to others on his video. The parts aren't compatible, specifically the one in his video.
I will say, I am not sure if a 2014-2019 RC might not fit, but the one I posted below is why he's having that issue. If you look at the clips that face the windshield, the RC ones are not symmetrical, they're a little off versus the IS being perfectly symmetrical-- that is why he is having a sag in the front and it's not locking into place with the clips.

Yeah let us know. It looked asymmetrical to me, and in his video, it didn't clip in so that's what my thought process was in thinking it might not fit.
@laobo979 & @swaangin I just got the RC dome light assembly. I swapped the red clips with the original white clips and....it does not clip . I don't know why, because the position of the clips seems the same, I have the impression the clips housing height might be different, and the clips does not reach the counter holes in the ceiling crossmember. I have pushed hard and it does not clip.
The blue clips clip without issue and all the buttons function as intended (although the center light does not stay on more than a couple of seconds when I touch it (it does when I open the door), which is odd).
I think I am going to leave it as it is for today, it was a long day I am tired. Maybe tomorrow my luck changes.
Seem odd as I have RC installed over 4 yrs with no issues. All I did was swap the clip as I told you and no issues. Let see some pic and sure the clip not smashed? Here how mine looks as you see no issue.

The issue is on the other side (windshield side), what you show is also clipping in my car.
I shortly tried this morning, I was able to feel what I think was the white clip fitting in, but it did not stay in place. I will start from scratch again after working.
I did smash some blue clips yesterday (but I replaced them with the ones of my old dome assembly). Is possible to buy replacements? White & blue clips, just in case.
If you look at the my pictures that the windshield side. Cause the switch side is toward moon roof.
You are absolutely right, for one second I thought I was being full retarded mounting the thing backwards xD, but no, I was just confused by the picture

@laobo979@swaangin Hi, short update, so, yeah, the white clips were busted. I ordered new clips but in the meantime I realised the voice commands were not longer working and the bluetooth was only recognincing my smartphone as a media player (and not as a phone). When I tried to re-setup the bluetooth connection I kept getting the same error.
So, one of two options, parts are just not compatible or the junkyard RC dome light I bought is defective (which I doubt because the bluetooth was able to play music).
Re-installing the original dome light solved all the issues.
I just decided to leave the original dome light and buy Philips Ultinon Pro6000 W5W T10 LEDs now that I have the old dome assembly out of the car, which makes the replacement very easy.
