Lots of Italian tunes, unfortunately I also bent a rod going to hard when the engine hadn't fully warmed up...I find a hill to open it up on ~ 365 HP Ford 302 w a 4spd, Trak Loc into 3.75:1 gears (car had so many mods as did mine). Right after hitting the limiter in 2nd gear I bang 3rd only to remain at the limiter when I pushed the clutch in (until 3rd fully engaged) at which point the tail end broke loose as I enter a tight uphill corner. New problem turning the ignition off in haste could easily lock the steering, I pushed the clutch in, let it scream until out of the corner slowed under 80 let the clutch out to get to the top of the hill and turned it off. Clutch out to coast to side of the road and disconnect the secondaries.
It seemed like it all happened in seconds. I can't believe it didn't drop a valve or throw a rod. It lived a long life even after that day.
I gave him an ear full saying I'm your only son, was that intentional?? haha We had a lot of fun building our cars racing each other. Best day ever was lighting up 2nd gear next to his door as I passed him!
So, every day was Italian tune up day... haha!

Well the thing about those big pushrod engines is they don't rev very high (I think 4500 RPM was peak HP and 4600 RPM was redline) so Italian tunes were not as fun as with my VW GTi, which revved out to past 6500 RPM
