FIXED - Passenger window comes back down when it gets to the top.
2010 IS250C - Buying this car probably tomorrow....I think I'm committed to the purchase.
Issue:
When you try to rollup the window using the switch to activate the Auto-Up...it goes up and comes back down about 1/2 way.
In my 350z when it does this you have to remove the door panel, go through some hoops with the door closed and key, then while pushing down on a motor reset button do something else. Is there a similar procedure for the IS250?
And if so...does someone have the link as to how to do that?

You can try to push the button down until it bottoms out and wait 5 seconds while pushing and then all the way up and hold it for 5 more seconds. This should reset the motor. Repeat for each window

Does the car have in-channel rain guard/wind deflectors?

I actually do not know what you are talking about (I will google it )....getting the car tomorrow
Oh just googled it....no this car does not have those ... I don't think they would work with the convertible top

Yeah I agree....my 350z does the same thing from time to time....and have to reset the travel of the motor.....I think it senses the amperage draw of the motor and reverses polarity when it gets too high...I don't think is an actual sensor per se....

Yes this sounds like the Anti-Jam is kicking in. Check the window tracks up near the top for
restrictions or debris. AJ works when the window switch is Not being held, if you continue
to hold the switch it will not stop.
Real life example: wild life refuge animal is trying to get in or panhandler is reaching in.

The Fix
FIXED - took several times from the driver's side ...but the window would just come back down once I tried to hold the button in the UP position.
Ultimately it was turning the ignition to ON/Engine OFF - at the window in question. Rolled up the window and held the button for like 12 seconds (I could hear a faint click of the motor), rolled it down and held it down for 12 seconds (couldn't hear the click, but my hearing is weak so). Tried the auto up, and it worked....opened the door and it dropped down a smidgen like it is supposed to do.
Went to the driver's side and tried the Auto-down and auto-up for the passenger window and all was good.
Thanks
