2nd Gen IS250 Trunk Wont Open (Non Valet Button Issue)
Hello,
Today my trunk decided to stay shut. It clearly makes the clicking noises when I use the FOB key and use the internal cabin button.
I have tried the "disconnect the battery for 15 minutes" trick without success.
This is a non valet button issue.
Attempted playing around with the trunk while pressing the fob key button without success.
Have yet to do the fuse trick, but it seems more like a physical problem than an electric one.
First time this has been an issue.
2011 IS250
Thanks
EDIT: I cannot manually use the key either

All,
Wanted to update that the latch hook itself failed (not the motor or anything else).
It appears the plastic coating on the hook was displaced and simply refused to budge.
I had to remove the seat and stick a knife on a long piece of stick to cut a hole in the trucking lining all the way from the small rearseat-to-trunk entrance just so I could use a long screw to unscrew the entire trunk mechanism.
$450.00 burned and that was a major discount too.
Truck mechanism replaced.
-_-
Great car otherwise.
