2011 IS250 AWD key fob won't open trunk or passenger doors
New to this forum. Just bought the vehicle used about 3 weeks ago, and everything was working fine the first week or so. Now, the key fob will not open the trunk nor the passenger doors. It's NOT the valet switch (this is the most common result from googling the problem). I disconnected the car battery for about 30 minutes (based on an internet search which seemed to work for some people) and all functions came back to normal: I could lock the car, one push to unlock driver side, 2 push to unlock all other doors, hold trunk button to open trunk. Cool, I must have put it learning mode or something by accident. Next morning I drive to work, try to open trunk with fob, and back to not working. No beep, no lights flash, nothing. Another thing, I can hit the lock or unlock once on the fob, but if I try it again (or any other button), I get no response from the vehicle. Driver side unlocks if I grab door handle, trunk will open by pressing the open trunk button on the dash. Anyone experience this before and was able to diagnose what was up?

OK, so I'm an idiot. Yes, you should always check the simple stuff first. The battery in the fob was near death, and only providing enough juice for one push. It couldn't hold a charge long enough to open the trunk since you have to keep the button depressed. I changed the fob battery and everything is back in working order.

Mine didnt either because it had just enough in it to be recognized in the car but not enough battery to activate my puddle lights or my trunk/panic.
