Hey guys, i couldn't find a thread on this so im making one. I recently picked up a 2010 is250 and i realized today that the tune/file **** on the cd player was pushed in and stuck. Does anyone know how to fix it before i take the car to the dealer and have them take a look?

Howdy Newb and welcome! That is a new one. Fair warning is that a dealer does not repair radios. They will happily sell you a new one for like $1300 plus install but component level repair of radio is out. Best case is you pull on the **** and see what happens next.

Does the stuck **** lock you from selecting stations or track/files? It has pretty limited function.
What are the symptoms?

First of all, thanks the welcome and your input. I managed to pull the **** out but it sticks when i push it back in, im thinking maybe the previous owner may have spilled a drink or something on it and only cleaned the surface. Now the **** works to tune the radio but i haven't tried any cds with different file folders as yet to see what happens, mainly because i use bluetooth, and for my cds i can access the tuning menu by pressing the menu/ enter key. Now it doesn't really bother me that the button is stuck because i rarely use it, even in my rav4 and sienna but i would still like to see if i can fix it just because lol. I have worked on radios before so if it eventually starts to really bother me i might just take it apart and see whats really going on.

That being the case you try a thin cloth with soap and water and edge out some of goo and see what happens? It survived the original spill of pop or whatever, so soap and water will evaporate. It might be worth a try?

No clue how the ***** are held on. Maybe go to a junkyard and find a similar year Toyota with a Panasonic radio and rip ***** off to see what retains them?

Thanks for the suggestion, i will try it out and see what happens. If it doesn't help its whatever because i rarely use it anyway. If you have any other suggestions, I'd be happy to hear them.
