Sold my IS....170,000 Miles.....It's been fun. :)
I chickened out.
I told myself I would drive her til the wheels fell off.
I put 170,000 miles on her since I bought her new in 2010, living in OR, NE, & AZ. I haven't owned any vehicle with 100k+ miles since 2001.
I am the guy who had the transmission fluid changed and analyzed @ 108,000 Miles, and I hope that thread helps people in this forum.
The first person who came to view the car bought it--believe it or not it was a 47yo woman!
I hope she gets 300k out of her.....
Here was the ad on this forum, but I sold it through Craigslist, and had 6 people email me within 24 hours of showing her to that lady who ended up buying her. I had to tell them all that she was sold:

Take care of these cars, peeps. I sure did, and she ran as smooth as new. The lady who got in didn't believe there were 170,000 miles on her as she said the interior looked better than every used car she had ever seen in her life. (Cleaned weekly by me, NEVER a carwash, and the leather was treated once a year with Leatherique).
I couldn't pass up a deal on a new 2017 ES 350 UL that has literally every option offered by Lexus.

Oops...forgot to post a pic of my ES, which I don't have yet since I drove it immediately from the dealer to the detail shop for paint protection film and paint sealant!
MSRP of $50,162 and I got her for $41,000 + Doc Fees of $500 + title fees of about $240 (no sales tax in OR).
I just hope I don't hate the boringness and mundaneness of this car......

I had an ES. It's a different ride for sure. I had my ES300 for fourteen years. I enjoyed the car and was disappointed to part with it. You know you're not getting a sport ride. I'm sure you'll enjoy the car for it is.
And if you're looking for the sport ride, just borrow the blue car Ferrari in picture two.

Did you get the 250 or 350? The 350 has some spunk it. I really liked it when I got it as loaner and I took on a 12 hour round trip to an interview. It was quite and confortable AF. Loved the radar capability and how it adjusts the speed of the car to traffic. The interior was roomy and nice, just don't like the exterior of an ES.

I will be buying an ES when mine needs replaced. My 02 just isn't there yet. When I am ready to replace it, I will buy a gently used (maybe CPO) or lease return.

That's what I want--I spend 25-30k miles per year on the road--mostly freeway.

Good luck with your new ES350! You did exactly what I'm planning to do and that's to buy a ES350 next year. I've got a 2012 IS250 with 96,000 miles that I bought new. My first Lexus and I love the car. It gets great care. I test drove the ES350 earlier this year and it's a different ride for sure but I like the quiet smooth experience. My car drives like it's got 10,000 miles on it. It'll be hard to part with it.

The ES was perfect for a work car. I loved it.
But I am now back in the sport world...... (Due to the used car prices this year I got $5k more than I had anticipated selling my ES private party, too!)
