New owner of a 2008 IS350. I bought it from a repo auction. Seems to run well but it was hit in the front (see pics). Most of the issues have been taken care of except I can figure out the problem with my headlights! When I bought it, the AFS light was blinking and I read that my headlights were aftermarket which didn't use AFS so I pulled the AFS fuse. The aftermarket headlights' LEDs work fine, the hi-beams work fine, and the turn signals work fine. However I have no lo-beams on either side. I have 12V coming through the wires to the bulb. I've removed the bulbs and tests the bulbs straight to the battery and the bulbs work. But I have no lo-beams when installed. I do have a wiring issue on the passenger side from the wreck but again, I'm receiving 12V to the headlights. I currently don't have any fog lights plugged in. Any suggestions?
The easiest way to find out is to plug in good working headlight, then you'll know if it's the headlight or your wiring.
You want me to buy a new headlight just to see if it works? The fact that it is doing the same thing on both headlights tells me it is not a bad headlight but I could always be wrong. I new set of headlights are over $300

Never said anything about buying new lights. Maybe you have a buddy with the same car that would let you swap and test the headlights.
You lost your ground or hot 12v in. With an ohm meter, connect one side to ground (makes the high beams work), and now connect the other side to each contact where the bulb seats and see if there is continuity. If yes, move to the positive side and verify the positive low beam relay power turns on, determine the color of the wire and trace that through the connector to the light itself. Based on wire color does that go to the low beam contact? If no, you need to sort that out.
Best advice is to get a wiring schematic and trace the colors for ground and power from the car to the headlight.

Thank you. I went to give this information to my mechanic and he already had the headlights working. He said there were some wiring and connector issues. He fixed the torn wires as well. Tomorrow it goes to the exhaust shop and then the body shop for the front bumper cover to be painted and installed. Thank you for your help!

I believe im having the same issues as you right now, do you by any chance remember what your mechanic did and where exactly he found the issues?
