Default PCV Valve Question - 2007 IS250 RWD

Good day all,

Getting ready to do a carbon clean on my Intake valves soon as well as a spark plug change. I realized the car has not had the Piston ring updates done on it by the previous owner. No record of it having a top engine clean done on it either. At least not at a LEXUS dealer. My understanding is that when Lexus did the upgrade, they also re-designed the PCV valve with a smaller orifice size to reduce the amount of blow-by. My question is, if I installed this new style PCV valve and I still have the older style piston rings which seems to indicate has more blow-by than the newer style rings, by restricting the pressure ventilation from the crank case with the newer style PCV valve, can it mess something up? Also, can I clean the old PCV valve and re-use it instead? PVC valve is cheap at the dealer. Car Has 103K and some change. I am getting the dreaded shake and shudder which started about two weeks ago on a daily basis after the car has warmed up to operating temp. Until then it runs fine. Luckily, I can get to work just as it reaches operating temperature. When it happens, I can shut-off and restart the car and it runs normal again for 10 or so minutes before the next episode of CEL and VCS starts flashing with the erratic up and down idle at a stop light.

Thanks

Anyone?

Did I post in the wrong section for this subject?
If so, will a MOD be kind enough to move it to the correct spot?

Cheers.
