Default PCV Valve 1MZ-FE

I think its time to change my PCV Valve and grommet. There's some pretty nasty build up and/or over flow around the perimeter of the valve location.

Does the PCV valve screw in/out or slide out?

You have to release the clip with a pair of pliers and then just pull it out

It really was that simple...

Cleaned the valve area with some engine degreaser that I sprayed on to a rag and used needlenose pliers to pull out the rubber grommet.

Change the PVC everyother oil change (about 20K)...change grommet about every 25-30,000 miles...If it falls in, get the needle nose pliers out. After over 200K miles, been there, done that.

It's good to know that I can still access it with the intake plenum in place. I was a little worried since I forgot to place an order on it, and was wondering if I should wait until I replace before putting everything back together (I have my rear valve cover off).

i think when it's like that, it's about time to change the valve cover gasket as well.

Well I waited off on putting everything together, so I'm going to be replacing the PCV Valve right now.

Im about to change mine as well, did you get yours from toyota dealership?

I got it through Lexus, but Toyota should have it as well.
