Question latest 2006 is350 navigation map?

is version 16.1 the latest north american map available? that's the highest i can find on ebay

Yes, 16.1 is both the latest and also the last version that will be offered for GEN5 navigation units.

I believe the only way is to physically remove the disc from the head unit and read the label on that disc. I've looked through settings within our headunit on the past to see what version of disc I had; never could locate anything.

Actually there is a way to look through settings to find it. By pressing the “menu” button then “map dvd”

I'm confused, as far as I know, the only way to eject the navigation disc is to tap the virtual button on the screen that shows the map version. Unless you have another way of ejecting the disc, I'm guessing that you just never noticed the map version there...
