If I were you I might reconsider. I wanted a similar sound, however going for a straight muffler delete will come with quite a bit of drone. What I got done instead was have the resonator deleted and get a set of custom mufflers. This gave me exactly what I wanted with minimal drone. Try going to an exhaust shop and see what they can do for you.

I had a muffler delete for a year and a half and never experienced drone. Drove at various RPM's, distances. Nothing. "Quite a bit of drone" is a stretch.

This is my current setup: Vibrant resonator and muffler deletes and still don't experience harsh drone unless I really step on it while on the highway at like 2700rpm

Since I live in So Cal.. the exhaust cops are on a good one with the new laws. I didn't want to go full exhaust, spend that kind of money, then run the risk of having to go back to stock anyways.

Here is what I did:
RR Racing CF intake tube
K&N drop in filter
F-sport air box (open in front - left the intake snorkel)
Muffler delete from axel back w/ custom, black tips
I left the resonators on.

Sounds GREAT! Several have mentioned it sounds like a GTR. Only "drone" is around 3rd and 4th gear between 2k-3k and only in that range at low speed. Freeway is fine, local roads are fine.

I paid $50 plus an additional $100 for stock tips ($50 each from the shop) and I got to keep my mufflers on with the stock tips.
You can also ask them to cut off the stock tips form your mufflers and put it back on your car.

I did a muffler delete on my 2010 IS350 back in January, and have not had any complaints. No drone at all. I highly recommend doing it.

I paid $60/each for the muffler delete and $50/each for the tips. They bent and welded on the new pipes and welded on the tips (obviously)

As far as pricing goes, I paid $200 to get the mufflers removed, the new pipes bent and welded, and then my old tips re-attached.

For me, I paid $300 CAD. All new piping, larger piping from the axle-back and F Sport style tips (4") Once the pipes build up enough carbon, it tones down a bit, but cold starts are a little loud at first.

It depends on what state you live in. I’m in Atlanta, Georgia, and here they don’t check exhaust. I also don’t recommend deleting the resonator, it will cause the exhaust to be very raspy though, which is why I only did the muffler delete.

My opinion is that v6 cars usually sound terrible and it's hard to get the exhaust right without drone. I think swapping out the oem mufflers with flow through mufflers is something to consider. You will have plenty of noise when you floor it while keeping the volume lower on the highway.

I have a muffler delete on mine and it sounds absolutely amazing without any drone. And there are a lot of V6 cars that sound great.
