loud noises from evap preceeded CEl
hi guys. my black cloud continues. last spring i went threw hell chasing a PO456 which one day went away all by itself.
the last week or so, ive heard very loud release noise and noises from the gas tank which defiantly sounded like purging of some kind from the EVAP. ive heard it a few different times existing the vehicle and once while i was getting ready to fuel it.
tonight, i was driving down the road and all of a sudden the car felt more responsive, snappeir. the handling was better, like the traction control stuff either stopped working or started to. when i return to the car from the grocery store, the CEl is on.
does anything ring any bells for you gusy who know your stuff? any input would be appreciated so very much. thanks once again.

"P0456 is an OBD-II generic code that the engine control module (ECM) has detected a very small leak in the evaporative system during the vehicle off testing. The test has to fail twice in a row to cause the code to be activated by the ECM."
Cheapest fix first...replace the gas cap.

"If your OBD II equipped vehicle has presented a code P0149, it means that the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected a malfunction in the timing sequence of the fuel pump. I have never seen this code exhibited in a vehicle that was not propelled by a diesel engine."
Kinda doubt it is this code based off of the above.

PO 172 PO175 PO456 at same time.wondering if the purge line came unhooked. i checked everything but didnt see where something might have come unhooked. i had my intake off cleaning it recently. pbut there were also those loud noises coming from the canister/gas tank which i don't hear now. its funny that all 3 came at the same time. what do you think? its really slow specially in 1 and 2nd from a stop. i have to slam my foot down for decent acceleration. i changed the MAF because of course that's what autozone said to do. i have new spark plugs coming.
