Brake popping/clicking
hello all, recently my front brakes have been popping/clicking and it’s been getting annoying. Mainly the driver side. I read on the GS boards that there are fit kits for this as it is a known problem. However, I can’t find the part number. Would anyone happen to have it? Or would anyone know if I can just replace the shims with any brand to correct this noise? Thanks for your help. My car is an IS350 2006 and I replaced the brakes about 2 years ago with no problems until now.
You probably need to replace the pads. They might look ok but if there's not enough pad your going to get play. Or your shims are coming lose. Could also be the rotors. If yoyou' not sure about the brake system have it inspected. You don't want to play around with brakes.
it might be suspension related and accentuated while you brake.
inspect your sway bar end links and bushings especially the lower control arm.
yes the pads should have shims on it which can be purchased from lexus.
