Default Brake screeching

I just installed new brakes and besides the usual grinding there is a screeching like sound while I accelerate. I changed the shims could those also have a break in period of sorts?

I checked a ton of threads, and for the most part I feel like the brakes were put on correctly. Unless, there is something I overlooked.

Have you tried turning it on and off again?

but seriously I've had minor problems with brakes before and sometimes the only thing that worked was taking them off and reinstalling them. No idea why though because I wouldnt do anything different

screeching sound while you accelerate... maybe one of the metal shims is in contact with the rotor? I'd just recheck the install. Also it could be your dust shields in contact with the rotor.

Did you perform any sort of break-in procedure with those new pads?
