I noticed my passenger side LED headlight is starting to produce a small bubble on top of the LED strip.. This was a known issue with these lights so I'm not totally surprised.. I've read on a few threads before that people have opened them up to retrofit for projectors/ LED's/ demon eyes etc. It's nothing to worry about at the moment as the one bubble is about half the size of my home button on my iphone.. But I'll probably take them out in the Fall and clean them up over the winter while the car is stored.. some details/ info regarding the removal of the lense would be fantastic..
Is it as simple as sticking them in the oven? What temp? how long? multiple trips into the oven after prying apart?
Anybody recommend a special type of paint for the top of the strip?? I remember reading someone using a high heat black caliper paint??
Use butyl retro rubber resealing glue or just send your headlights to Winnipeg HID for mind blowing retrofit. I know there are bunch of places around GTA that do these things, just Google/ Instagram it.

At this point, I don't feel the need to retrofit anything, a friend of mine re-worked his headlights that didn't have LED strip and put in a switchback LED strip that looks really good but I just want to remove the black ontop of the LED strip and re-paint it with some High heat paint so it doesn't bubble again
They are aftermarket OE replacement so copies. These are halogen and only $400 for the set. I’ve got full reviews on my YouTube channel.
Not or the greatest projector quality or LED quality but I changed it all out anyway so it was a perfect platform for me to start. No sense in chopping up OEM HLs.

If those are aftermarket lights they sure look like OEM..

what switch backs did he use ? So many choices on line and I don’t want to do this twice. I have AFS and would like to keep the option. Not wanting to spend $1200 on 2011 lights.
