IS250 wining from engine bay
I bouth a 2006 IS250 SE july last here and had every service up to date and im the second owner. Car runs great. But I live in South Africa and we are getting more chilly mornings going in to winter and most experience of car trouble i every had was during winters my previews car would act up ore leave me stranded (Freelander TD4 and Mazda RX8) so I know car trouble when it want to miss behave. Now in the week when is started the car to have it warm up a little it started making a whining noise on the passenger side of the engine. Car is right hand drive. Theres no loss of power is funny just got additional whine no matter if its cold ore hot. I looked over the form but all the not much is described I have no stain of coolent on engine ore water dripping so not the pump and alternator is running fine plus sound is cumming more from the top of engine
Can any one help me. Cash is little tight and i don't want dis to go into a expensive fix if left alone.

I will look in to thank for the reply Gville350, ill have to go trough the dealer as my local part store stock no item for Lexus, I have inquired today on a few parts and the clerk just said ill have to get all the items from lexus self. Does lexus only run one belt for both water and altenator ore are there separate belt driving each item

On my way to dealer the sound just stopped but showed them the clip with sound and they did inspection, mechanic looked and said car running as it should, alternator and pump are running and no leaks detected and mentioned that it could be the belt that got bit wet from condensation causing slight irregularity and that they will change the belt in next service but if it does pop up again should bring car back. I was surprised by servers they gave me and didn't charge me for any inspection ore mechanic time used would definitely go back there.

Found problem today was driving on main road and sound popped up again and battery light came on and power steering died then when i rushed home keeping rev between 2000 to 3000 battery light went away, Typical sighness of alternator failing and as i pulled in my garage, I heard the bearing fail on the the thing so alternator will be replaced just need to dig now for part number and make to see where i can buy a new one. not sure if i should replace water pump as well.
