Default P/S Light Power Steering

Hello,
Anyone had a problem with power steering on 2nd gem Lexus IS ?? my P/S light just came out and lost the power steering on my IS350.

The power steering ecu has been known to become faulty in these models. The rack itself can also become faulty. The rack being quite a bit more expensive, I'd confirm it being one or the other before wasting unnecessary funds on a new rack, when it could have been just the steering ecu.

Pull the codes!

Also go to an auto parts store for their free alternator and battery check. My power steering was the first thing to go out when my alternator died followed by the battery light on the dash coming and going and the nav screen/radio cutting in/out.

It was the power steering ECU.. $900

@fredkhaz i'm having same issue with my p/s......my light is on but not getting any codes from scanner(were you able to pull codes for your p/s ecu?). i am also getting P0756 solenoid stuck shut error though. are these two issues related? any help would be terrific

The P0756 code is for the automatic transmission - Shift solenoid valve B is turned ON or OFF by the Transmission Control Module (TCM) in response to signals sent from the park/neutral position (PNP) switch, vehicle speed and Engine Control Module (ECM) (throttle opening).

Not related to the power steering.
