Default Which tune would you pick?

2010 IS350:
- Joe Z intake w/K&N filter
- Axle back Tsudo exhaust
- 93 octane
- No other mods likely. Maybe a midpipe.

I'd go OvTuning just due to their continued updates. I haven't heard anything new from the other sources like RR Racing, TTFS, and the other tuners. Sides their remote tune looks very convenient. I think I see RR Racing post that they are still working on the transmission flash. OV has a beta transmission flash that I think some people on the forums are currently using and it apparently speeds the shifts up but only at full throttle

Make sure you contact whoever you decide to go with. That your ECU calibration ID is in their system. Otherwise you will be forced to send in your ECU.

Tsudo axleback ftw! RR racing has their 2IS tune working and maybe a handheld now? A lot of folks have the OVtuned though and I think there is a huge post in the performance section.

I have a 2010 is350 as well and I have the OV tune, it shouldnt be that difficult with your ecu calibration ID.

What mods do you have? Did you increase the rev limiter? What are your impressions? Thanks.

Headers, full invidia catback, takeda intake, and i changed it to 7400 rpm. I only have 91 in SoCal not 93, but the OV tune does offer the 7400 for both 91 and 93 octane...
It made driving our car so much more fun. After I got the tune I made sure I had clean oil, and new spark plugs, other than that it runs like a champ. Gives our car a good top end so G's and Z's wont pull on me anymore haha.

I'd do headers and midpipe but I'm old and I like quiet rides sometimes. I think headers and midpipe would be too much for me. I'm hoping that I'll still get to experience good results without these mods.

It was crazy loud with my setup lol. But i just replaced the resonator and now its like a normal axle back exhaust setup. Not loud unless I floor it haha.

As long as OV has your ECU in stock, it is a relatively painless process if you have the handheld. My biggest complaint though is that they took 6 days to send me a tune for an ECU number that they already had, but it is a really minor complaint. Haven't tried the RR Racing tune. There was another company called TTFS or something like that who also made another tune for this car. OV advertises their tune at ~18-24hp and RR Racing at 10-15hp. I went OV just because of the slightly higher power and the handheld is convenient to have in case they make an update to the tune. The increased redline is probably the biggest benefit because the 2GR FSE engine does not stop pulling at 6600 RPM, so raising that redline actually means the car is still pulling even at 7200 - 7400 RPM. That and you stay in the high rev range when accelerating.

Keep in mind if you have headers or a full exhaust or both you'll probably get a lot more power than when tuned with just an ECU remap. Headers alone add 16 HP and a full exhaust can add another 15-20ish HP. RR Racing has a IS350 power package or something that has their tune, headers, and an ARK exhaust. It is probably the best bump in power you can get for this car without going forced induction, but it is also like $3,000 which is a bit steep. It does add anywhere from 30-40hp though which is a pretty big boost in power. Best of luck!

Does anyone have a tune out that increases the RPM while in drive? I never use the worthless paddle shifters, I just put it in drive and mash the peddle.
