Default GPS DVD stuck inside the drive

Hello,

in my IS250 from 2009 stuck navigation DVD during driving. I don't know if it's the bumpy road or a non-original DVD but it will not eject.

After starting the car I just only hear clicking from the drive. Tried to push/lift the disk with something plastic and narrow but nothing helped.

Is it possible to eject the disk without disassembling the whole unit? I can't do that so better not to touch it . Does anyone have same problem: is that the non-original disk or possible drive fault?

BR,
Arthur

The GPS one behind the clock panel?
I had similar.
I cycled the ignition and the eject button on the screen.
Eventually came out.

On my 2011 IS 350 the dvd is behind the clock panel. You have to insert a thin stiff wire into the 2 small holes to remove the panel so the dvd can come out.

follow the video you good to go. 2 pin is in your toll set.
You don't have to use air suction just insert and pull out the panel

to eject the MAP data
1. press on menu
2. click on MAP DVD -top right conner
3. click on "eject"

Guys again: I DON'T HAVE ANY MAP DATA VISIBLE!
Black screen and the only thing is the notification "External system is not connected" and the DVD I BLOCKED
I've tried to lift it manually but I failed.

Any method to take it out without unit disassembly?

You didn't state it before. All you said is DVD stuck leading us to different direction.
Anyway, Your MAP ECU (DVD driver) is damage and need to be replaced.

Which DVD is stuck. There are 2 dvd drives.
1. DVD behind clock panel
2. DVD slot at opening on face of Headunit below clock panel.

When you got message "external drive is not connected " means there is no power coming from the MAp UCE. It doesn't mean the DVD is stuck. If you have any work done lately required to remove the head unit, you may want to check the connection. I have seen those case already!!!

Hopefully today it fixed itself while driving. I do believe it's because non-original DVD.

Thanks for trying to help anyway.

Trust me i won't. I did repaired a lot of Map ECU drive and know what the message mean.
If the problem causing by non OEM dics, you will see message "please insert the correct dics"
Good luck!
