1/4 mile time
Your 13.490 pass (at the 1/8th mile) mark was near my best pass at my local 1/8th mile track(see sig). But I do have to say I only had a Fujita intake at the time with full interior and 3/4th tank of fuel. I plan to go back to the track next Thursday and see what I can get with some minor weigh reduction, 1/4 tank of fuel, and PPE headers.

13.5 sounds about right. I did too much research on this and I see everything from 13.9 (on a bad launch) to 13.1 (video was taken down for some reason). I wonder though, with lighter rims/tires and a full exhaust system and tune, could you break 12.9XX or do you need a supercharger to get anywhere near 12?
Also would a higher octane rating (e.g. 107) help somewhat?

I ran a 110 octane later but because i put 4glns in it had me at half tank from Lil less than qtr, my time went to 13.6 and from wut I have heard I would have to get rid of my primary cats for me to see a differenceand a tune with that fuel. But seeing how we can't tune our ****, the race fuel is prollie useless..just thought I would try.. lol I'm sure with that haND held tune that is out from rracing or the other one ttfs or whatever it is and headers would help. I will put my stock wheels on next time and maybe drag radials. Should put me closer to 13 flat! We will see...
I still somewhat think it would be possible to break 12s on just bolt-ons/tune and some weight reduction... but you'd have to get a perfect launch.
yes probably, but I had a pretty perfect launch, I have yet to see a stick street tire to do better than 2.0 60ft. I'm sure with drag radials maybe, but my tires really didn't sign much at all anyways.. but maybe I could hold break hard and launch around 1500 rpm or more if it doesn't start spinning , I don't like doing to much to the car from street form, cuz I would like to see what I can do in street form. Next year I will have headers and tune and i will get some drag radials for my stock wheels, that's should do it!

DRs won't be needed for our cars until nitrous or boost is introduced. Never had an issue with my IS350 launching at a properly prepped track. Of course, I do have adjustable coilovers, so I can play with the dampening to help with the launch/wheel hop. I personally believe that if I would deep-stage more consistantly, I'd get just squeak into the 1.99 60-ft. I'll see what I can do tomorrow at the track...my first and probably my only visit to a strip this year. Having come from a boosted Honda on a E-brake, I had to shallow stage to help keep me from inching past the line while building 12+ lbs of boost at 5k.
I'll post my 1/8th mile results tomorrow.
