I personally believe that if I would deep-stage more consistantly, I'd get just squeak into the 1.99 60-ft. I'll see what I can do tomorrow at the track...my first and probably my only visit to a strip this year. Having come from a boosted Honda on a E-brake, I had to shallow stage to help keep me from inching past the line while building 12+ lbs of boost at 5k.

I'll post my 1/8th mile results tomorrow.
nice, well if I had my rpm around 1000 I would get 2.0 60ft, and wen I did 1500+rpm I would get 2.1 2.2 60ft so if I had DR I could run my rpm up to close to 2000 and launch I might get 1.9 and I was deep stagging, would roll past and back up into the stage.. please post times!! I'm excited to see!! Good luck!

if I did a 1500 launch I would spin a Lil, 1000 was where I got 2.0 60ft. I have 19in miro wheels and some cheap tires that came with the wheel and tire package. So some dope tires would help I'm sure. I'm gunna go with nitro nt555r DR on my stock 18s. So 2500 rpm launch should b dope!

How weird we have the same exact mods lol. Except my intake is the Joe Z tube. I've been wanting to run the 1/4 mile for a while now but haven't had the time sadly. If you don't mind me asking what wheels are you running and what tire size? I'm running 19x 8.5 front and 19 x9.5 rear with 235/35/19 tires out back. I'm curious as to how my tires will affect my times.

I see. I was thinking for my build to go with super light 18s (RPF1) and Pilot Super Sport tires, so I was just wondering what a 13.5 run looks like in terms of that. I'm curious if drag radials will actually have a significant impact. The IS350 tends to launch with no traction problems at all. If the tires are warm enough you can launch at 2500 with no wheelspin. Let me know how it goes, curious to see the impact of drag radials.

So though I removed everything I possibly could on my car down to the rear seats, I still could only net a 8.73 pass with a 2.03 60ft. It was 88 degrees yesterday here and only cooled down to 76 degrees by the time I made my passes. So though I showed up ALL other V6s present at the strip last night AND some V8s, I still couldn't beat my best time I made when the temps were alot colder(see signature). All passes were made with T/C on, as I cannot stand having to do the pedal dance EVERY time I turn the car on. My best pass was actually my very first pass. All following passes were made with tremendous heat-soak in the engine bay, even with the hood being up in-between runs in the staging lanes. All other passes were 8.8s and 8.9s; would make a good bracket car. LOL!

Anyone thinking about launching off of the converter at anything higher than 1800rpms off the line, you'll find it VERY difficult to hold the car still. It'll naturally want to engage itself and even the brakes won't be able to hold it. Only way around this is a Level 10 converter with a stall.

Yes, lighter wheels will definitely be helpful; but DRs I don't see being necessary unless all you want to is be able to do burnouts that won't overheat the tires.

Sidenote, as in all my fastest passes in the past, I somehow hit the factory rev limiter at the top of second gear for a very brief moment even in full auto "normal" mode.

DR won't get sticky till u heat them up u can do a burn out on them.. I had some on a hatchback and could do a good burnout , wen they are cold they are really jus like any other tire.. I have an 07 so I'm always running with tc off and launching passed 1500 my wheels would spin..
