Help. My '08 IS350 doesnt start
Hi I have a 2008 is350 with only 122k miles this car never gave me any problems until one day I started the car and it started for just a second or so and engine just dies, then after if i try to start it again it doesn't wanna turn over only the dash lights come on but doesnt make an effort to start, I would probably have to wait at least another 45 mins for it to start again, and then when I try it will start for a second or so again then just die. And I changed the fuel pump but it still does the same thing, I tried changing the battery it does same thing, I'm frustrated I hate to bring the car to the dealership to find out the problem and then rip me off. anyone out there has had the same problem or might know what would be the problem. My car hasn't been running for almost 2 months.

Oh my I wouldn't know how to do anything with that immobilizer info you gave me, but All I know is when I first start the car I hear the fuel pump sound then the car starts then engine shuts off, then I turn the button off then try starting the car again for the 2nd time I don't even hear the sound of fuel pump and car would not attempt to turn over only dash lights will go on and i will have to wait another 45 mins or so for the car to start again and shut off and I already changed the fuel pump and that wasn't even the problem, the only thing i did to the car was a week prior when the car was running I bought new tires and they said they changed my tire sensors and reseted the tire sensors but I don't think it has anything to do with making my car not starting.

you get any light indicator ? check engine or anything ? sounds like you got a bad ground somewhere, check under your fuse box driver side see if the ground wire is detach or corrode , tires has nothing to do with engine starts but fuel pump does and you said you just replaced ? step on your brake pedal do you see green or yellow dot light ?

Ohh BTW the only lights that comes on when I try to start the car when it dies is the check vsc, trac off, but no check engine light is on.

those light are not important at the moment, find the culprit that prevent your car from start up, camshaft sensor die wont start the car too but it should after 3-4 times try.
