Rough start
What I mean is that after pressing the start button, it turns over and it tries to start for a good coupe seconds. With no input from me, it might not even start on the first try. If I do the old trick of giving a bit of gas as a press the start, it will always start within 2 seconds (still longer than normal). This started out of nowhere, and wasn't a gradual thing. It doesn't matter if the engines hot/cold. The car itself drives fine.
I also thought I MIGHT have smelt a slight odor of gasoline, but that could have been my imagination.
What can this be?
HOWEVER, I am starting to think its the battery. I checked the battery while the car was off, with a voltmeter. It metered at 10.35 which is below the 12v its supposed to be.
So either my battery is prematurely dead or the alternator is going? In the last month or two, most of the trips have been <10 minutes, so I'm hopeful its not the alternator and it just didnt have a chance to recharge the battery.
How can I test if its the battery or alternator?

My "exide" battery died after one year exactly ( 7 days after warranty finishes ! good marketing there lol)
try to start it with the high beam on, if it doesn't then you need a new battery.
good luck
