Sounds like your touch screen is down for the count.

Best bet is to find a used unit or replace with brand new.

Did some research. Found a maybe fix, not sure if I'm capable of doing the dyi. But also found some replacement screens on ebay for 90.

So does the screen produce any images at all, or is it completely blank/black? If you're still seeing stuff, but the touchscreen just doesn't work, it is the digitizer that needs to be replaced. You can purchase just a new digitizer or purchase a new screen (much easier) and have it installed. If completely blank, then you'll need to replace the entire NAV unit or send it out for a repair.

Everything works but the actual touch features. So I can use radio and everything. I looked at trying to fix the digitizer. But think I'm going with purchase of a new screen and try to install it myself. The dyi doesn't look to difficult

^Yeah, I recommend the new screen too.

It really isn't; just be careful not to damage the lip of the dash when removing the vents above the NAV unit.

Well in that case on a good note, ordering the screen. And I can't mess the dash up. It's already trashed and waiting on them to fix my whole tacky dash

Mine acted exactly the same thing, the dealer replaced it with an brand new one. Fortunately I bought the extended warranty, it paid for itself and then some. You'd better fix it before they replace your dash so you won't take a risk of messing it up.

Sadly as long as I been waiting. It doesn't seem to be coming any time soon."dash repair" I had extended warranty but time the time has since expired. Wife's advice was let's go look at new vehicles. . Should have done that

Fixing up or replacing the touch panel is not hard at all. The only thing you should paid attention on after market touch panel is rainbow effect. I've seen some car has that problem already.

I recall someone saying that the rainbow effect was caused by someone leaving on the plastic on the panel.

There is no protecting film on it at all. I double check it when he came to me.
