IS250 options to change?
Hi there,
My 2009 IS250 goes into the dealer on Thursday to fix a bad door lock activator and to test for the ZLA "Warranty upgrade" fault, but I'd like them to reset a few options on the car. I don't want wet seats so that double-push on the fob to lower them goes away. I hate daytime running lights, so that one too. And the rowdy seatbelt reminder.
Are all of the options in my owner's manual under Customization on p. 461? Or are there other undocumented ones I should ask for? Like projecting a bat-signal, or auto-pizza-delivery? Which options do you folks prefer on your cars?
Thanks!
Karl

I don't think you can disable the seat belt alarm through Techstream. There is a DIY floating around here on how to do that though.
When I disabled my DRL, I raised the sensitivity on the auto lights. It seemed to me that the auto lights didn't kick on early enough with the DRL off. You don't need the extra light earlier to see, but it makes you more visible to other drivers when it's half dark out. The DRL typically stay on until the low beams kick on, but without that I wanted the low beams to come on a little earlier so I'm not driving around at dusk with no lights on.

Oh? The option on p. 465 says "Seat Belt Reminder" "Vehicle speed linked seat belt reminder buzzer". On is default. So I thought I could have them change it. Oh well, not a big deal.

Hmmm, maybe you can then??? I may have just overlooked it. I know you can disable it yourself without Techstream though.
