Default Daytime Running Lights are Never on

I noticed that my daytime running lights (high beams in 1/2 wattage) are never on in the day. Only my city lights are on. Is there a reason for this?

Default because the light sensor in the dash senses the sunlight...

if you have your lights switched to 'auto' they always only keep the inner headlights on.

or- you can keep them on all the time and then double lock the car when you leave it- it'll turn off all the lights to ensure you don't kill your battery.

umm.... if your parking lights are on, then there is no way the drl will be on. the drl should be on only when 1) it's day time sunny enough and you put it on auto, or 2) if you switch the light to off position and the car running

I've tried switching the lights to all positions and I can't get the DRL to turn on.

No, the DRL still doesn't work. And yes, the high beams work.
