Default Headlight Opinion/Help/Suggestions

So I'm trying to upgrade my headlight look a lil' bit because the standard look is just not cuttin' it anymore, but I need some opinions.

Finally found a shop in MT that works on car customs & headlights, so in a few wks, I'm having this tech/installer blackout my headlights & also install some puddle lights. But my real debate is this: after talking to the guy about what plans I have for my car, he mentioned that he could install a SMD LED strip for DRLs, so to give the 11-12 headlight look. I told him I eventually just wanted to buy the OEM ones, but he's trying to convince me they will look similar enough in the meantime.

I'm really on the fence about adding this mod (even though he's only gonna charge me another $50 to wire both in) & I've been searching thru all kinds of threads to get an idea of who's used these & how they look, but not much luck. He sent me pics of what the strip looks like (below)

He's saying all though it's mini LEDs & you can see them all up close, from a distance they would give the solid line look. Similar to the R8 pic below

So I need some opinions or suggestions on what people think about this mod.
Anyone familiar with this kind of setup?
He's offered to set them up as switchbacks, too, but I'm just unsure if these SMD strips will cheapen the look. I'm going to him regardless for the headlight housing & puddle lights, but he offered to work this in.

Any suggestions or criticism will help

Yea, I'm opting out of the strip lol. Came across a few pics earlier while searching thru more threads & it looks too cheap 😟. Just gonna stick to getting the headlight housings blacked out & the puddle lights wired in 😁👌

How about these LED strip tubes? I've always have a thought in mind if it'll look good or not and if i should be doing it also. I know those tiny led strips looks way too cheap, but these are tubes and its solid.

I've debated these, too. The installer said he could put these in for me over the other style. I'm still trying to see who else has used these & how they turned out. It'd be a PITA to get them put in & then to take 'em out if they look cheesy

The problem is...at least in this forum...is that we all know how OEM LED looks and its not gonna look OEM so for me
