So I'm getting ready to buy bags and I don't have enough money so I need to sell my coils in order to pay up for the parts. So will I need a spring compressor to compress the OEM spring. I wanted to wait until I had enough money to just swap from coilover straight to air but there's no way LOL

Or when you say coils, you are referring to just lowering springs? In that case, then yes. You will need a spring compressor to put them back on. But at the same time, did you just shoot it out when you put the coils in? Anywho, I'd have someone with you a little more experienced if you decide to do this yourself since it sounds like you are a little unsure of what you are supposed to do. No offense.

Your OEM struts should be fully intact, just bolt them back in, dont you have BCs?

 

Unless you disassembled the oem suspension you do not need a spring compressor. OEM to coilover is a straight swap of the whole assemblies. If you were selling the springs off your car and putting on the OEM back on you would need a compressor.

 

Why not just wait until you have the money to do it all in one shot and save the time on labour? Honestly, if you can't afford to buy both, can you really afford to go to bags right now?

 

Andrew honestly bro maybe you should go stock and stack up for a little while... this will give you time to figure out the rear wheel centering, address the trac/vsc lights, and get a cushion of "just incase" money saved. You are def headed into a nice build but it may be better to get those little things addressed before going air.

Trust me I wish i could just go air... but I want to make sure that everything else is done first. Air is like the cherry on top of the build. You know you'll get better prices buying everything (or almost everything) at one time... A lot of things go cheap during the winter season it'll be better to have that stack on hand ^_*

 

Yeah, I'm kinda in debt that's why I need to sell the Coilovers to pay someone back. Otherwise I would def keep the coilovers and wait until I have everything

Like what was mentioned previously, if you went directly from OEM suspension to FULL coilovers, then the OEM suspension should be a bolt-in affair. No spring compressors needed UNLESS you removed the OE spring from the OE shock perches.

I have someone who is already interested but anyways I don't think you'll want these. They're BC Racing coilovers with high spring rates to get tighter fitment
