Default Removing IS 250 Grill

Does anybody know how to remove an IS grill? I have an 09 IS250 am trying to take it off so I can get it painted. I hear it's a pain to do but does any body know or have an suggestions on how to do this? Thanks.

You can remove it from behind from up above in the engine bay. Remove the front engine dust cover to gain access and go to town!

You have the pull the grill out from the bottom of the grill there are clips to hold it also the each side of the grill has clip too. Be careful when you remove it or you might scratch your bumper. Good luck

Default Lower grill

I've seen a few posts in the past with varying information about this, but can anyone confirm that the lower bumper grill can be removed and reinstalled without completely removing the bumper?

The grill is very easy to remove without taking the bumper off, just use blue painters tape on the bumper around the grill when removing and installing the grill it to prevent scratches , took me 15 mins to do mine good luck

Thanks for the confirmation! Are any tools needed to unclip or pry, or can it all be done by hand?

for 2009-2010, you most likely have to remove the bumper because it's very hard to reach the 2 bolts.

I have 2010 and managed to do it without removing bumper. I struggled a bit with right-down bolt (looking standing at front) which was not actually bolt but kind of pad/gasket (not sure English term),

I have an 08, but if I remember just a 10mm and a screwdriver, and I just pulled the on the grill to remove the clips but forget the blue painters tape
