Exclamation Install My Ride Rear Diffuser?

Does anyone know how to install the my ride rear diffuser? Should 3m double sided tape work fine or should I use screws as well? I do have a heat gun to form the diffuser as well so should that be good enough? Please reply asap, i'm trying to get it installed this weekend.

I dropped mine off at a local body shop last night and said make this thing glossy black and stick. I'll let you know what they do.

The only way to make it RELLY stick are using screws or epoxy on it. People think 3M tape will do it but with wind, rain, sun, and poor product quality you NEED something stronger to make it stick.

So this might be a really late rely but this is what I did.

I recently got it painted and installed it myself. Dealer wanted a ridiculous amount. Anywho. I cleaned the areas I was going to 3m it both on the bumper and on the diffuser. I have a replica one so it wasn't exact fitment. So when I installed it I punched in 2 screws right above the exhaust tip holding it up. It seemed to hold pretty good right there. From there I wen ahead and peeled the tape and applied pressure. While peeling the tape I used masking tape to hold it in place where I wanted it.after getting it in the right place I let it cute for a while. And even had a heat gun to help mold it. Be careful with that heat gun if you use it! I also reenforced it with some screws at the bottom and the ends of the diffuser.

Honestly it looks nice. The only problem I have is that there two points where there's too much pressure and it's starting to pull the 3m off. Even after forming and molding, but then again it's a replica I bought off of eBay. So I'm thinking about putting 2 screws into the bumper (though I really would rather not) with covering caps on them.

Hopefully that helps. Use both 3m and screws and mold it if you can

I've been telling people that but people are cheap and think double stick tape can withstand freeway winds, rain, and car washes.

3m tape for any body "part" is honestly not a good idea as stated above. Last thing you want to happen is have it fall off when driving.
Epoxy it. (and get it moulded for look if you have the $).
Better to spend money securing a product instead of losing it and having to pay for a new one all over again right?

3M tape on a rear diffuser without hardware (screws, nuts and bolts etc.) is just asking for trouble.

Depends on what body part. I used m3 tape for my wife trunk spoiler 4yrs going strong threw -10 degree weather and harsh snow/ ice winter. I've always used it on my rear GFX kit and holding strong in the same conditions.

Maybe....but this thread is about the Myride Diffuser, and as far that goes...epoxy is the way to go. Especially parts like the roof spoiler or Wald reps, a stock spoiler add on with 3m would fair better than the aforementioned for example
