Another TPMS issue (Already Searched..)
Hi,
Situation: recently installed AG M310 aftermarket wheels on '09 250 AWD. Bought new set of Schrader TPMS 33000 programmable sensors (wanted black stems to match black wheels). Took it to the shop, had it installed. Driving home from shop (about 20 miles) with stock wheels in car and everything is good to go, no light. Go home, take stock wheels out and leave them in garage. Following day, drove about 10 miles, then "Check System" and TPMS light comes on. Tried resetting per manual, no luck. Tried switiching from main to 2nd and nothing. Parked in the garage next to my stock wheels and it didn't even pick them up. Is it possible for the shop to somehow "overwrite" the factory TPMS setting when trying to program the new ones, therefore causing the car not to pickup the old, original ones?
I looked on Schrader's website and their product search said these sensors are compatible with Lexus. I reached out to TitanTPMS and they mentioned that these were compatible too. So either the shop didn't program the new TPMS or something else is wrong. But it is bothering me that the car isn't picking up the old set while parked in the garage next to them. Heading back to the shop but wanted to gain more knowledge and have ammo just in case the shop tries to BS me.
Would appreciate any tips or suggestions. Thanks in advance!

I dont have experience with the particular tpms model you are using so cant chime in.
BUT, as for not picking up your stock TPMS. I found that many times it doesnt instantly pick up the tpms sensor especially right after you switch from Main to 2nd or vice versa. It usually takes me around 10+ miles of driving or so before the tpms light turns off.
Do you have a techstream? If not, i would invest the $30 and get one off amazon. You can use this to diagnose the sensors and program them yourself. Well worth the few bucks.
