Mine has been doing this too recently. Pretty annoying. May just have it looked when I get the car serviced next.

I attempted this with the stuff you recommended, and im still getting the noise just as bad, or maybe worse. I tucked it all the way in, leaving no speaker foam tape outside of the headliner. im gonna mess around with the placement over the weekend. let me know if you did it a specific way.

I just put it at the very edge making it look flush... It subtle my rattle a ton but on really hard bumps I hear it sometimes again... Just going to leave it until the day I have to take the headliner off or once I get a full free weekend and take my time...

So, revisiting this thread. Does anyone have any updated info on how to fix the squeaking/creaking for good, without trimming the glass stoppers? I shoved the foam tape over the stoppers, but the back window still creaks like hell. Can someone walk me through it?

So all this time I thought I was creaking back there and then my wife noticed it was actually above me on the moonroof, if your remobe the acordian lookin covers and push on the glass you will see where tye noise comes from its from the roller on the guiding bar...

there is a minor creak from that, but the main noise is definitely coming from the back windshield.

Mine is also definitely coming from the back window. Seems to be only when it's hot outside.
