Hi.
My windshield has been damaged after the last storm in NY and I needed new one. Yesterday it was changed. Right after that I noticed rattling from the bottom part of the windshield...sounds like from the dashboard.
I know that I have to go back to the shop, but just curious - what can cause the rattle. Do the put any kind of liquid rubber between windshield and body frame to keep tight in position ?

Yes, they use a black rubber caulk material and sealer/trim strips. Sounds like it wasn't put in properly and needs to be re-done.

 

Thank you. I was thinking the same. Tomorrow I'll revisit them again and hope this time they'll do it right.
