Hey all,

Can anyone share any good feedback on a type of hitch to use on my 2011 IS? Lexus doesnt make one for my model - so my dealer says so I was wondering if all you in the community could share any thoughts and maybe some pics if you have one installed.. Ultimetely looking to get a bike/ski rack onto the car but wasnt too fond of the roof racks..

I have a Curt hitch I used it on both my IS 250C and my IS 350C. Happy with them. Don't know if it works on the AWD. I use it to haul around my Segway.

This is too funny - I was just reading about the 11372 as your reply came in. Whats funniew is that you and I have the same name!!

May I ask if you did the install yourself'? Just wondering on how much of the heat shielf has to be removed...

I did not install it. That was done by a local Hitch store. Also had a Lexus dealer move it from my 250 to my 350 as part of the trade/sale of the 350

For some reason I thought some got into trouble with the transmissions after towing, can't find the post so take that as you wish lol.

I had to take them pretty close up, the far away ones in the garage did not show up. Yes, incase anyone is wondering, I do have handicap plates on my car.

As you can see, the hitch is really tucked under the car. I have to use an extension to get my wheelchair carrier to fit.

I'm going to do this to my IS250. I need to after the ordeal of my last bicycle purchase.

 

Update: I got one from U-haul. Apparently, they are made by Curt.
