Default update window visors

alright so i was doing research on getting some window visors....jdm, avs, weathertech etc.

now a lot of these threads are older and i couldnt notice any that are fairly recent.

a lot of people either love avs or hate and some people have to modify them in order to fit on their car...who knows maybe now avs has fixed that issue.

so if anyone has any new updates or preferences to which window visor they prefer id surely appreciate it.

JDM are just so expensive as everyone says and id like to stay under 200.

let me know what guys think and photos would be awesome too.

JDM or go home. AVS are cheap and chunky. You're paying for quality and an actual OEM product with JDM

Well you get what you pay for. Some folks are ok with cheap products like AVS or plastidip, but we're driving Lexus's which don't deserve pep boy grade products despite the price. If I couldn't afford it then I would do it right the first time and wait till I had enough money.

I love my weathertech visors. The fact that they are in channel is why i love them so much. I don't like how the other visors stick on the outside and extend past the window.

couldnt agree more with this statement.

the other brands of visors out there for the IS look super chunky and stick off the like its a silverado or something. the OEM ones are very sleek just fit the car better, its OEM so you are getting the best quality possible

but alot of times you get what you pay for. just keep that in mind

Gotta agree with Jared. I even started one of these threads last year when I was back and fourth between the two and didn't wanna spend $400 but I got Nigel to do a group buy and paid $360 and IMO it was worth it even though it was alot of money just for 4 peices of plastic. But it completes the car and looks great and from what I've heard the AVS warps eventually and fitment is not perfect. Some things are worth spending alot of money for the authentic, some are not. I have authentic/oem/replica/custom parts on my car. I'm definitely not one of those tools that'll always says support this and that company that could careless about you and only your money. But these are definitely one of the mods that has no substitute. If you cant afford it now I would just save up or just keep an eye out in the classifieds section here. You dont wanna go cheap and regret it later on

I had the AVS ones for awhile and sold them. Grabbed a pair of used JDM ones on the forum. Might sell them in the near future for brand new ones though.

JDM unless you want to buy cheap parts. Save up to get what you want.

When i first was looking into visors i bought the AVS ones but sold them a month later to buy the JDM ones. The AVS rear visors tend to bend and rest against the window and only install with double sided tape compared to the JDM ones that also use clips i vote for JDM ones might sound like a lot but do it right the first time..

The AVS are not really comparable to the JDM ones once seen side by side. IMHO, the quality of the JDM ones are so much better.

I understand anyone who wouldn't want to spend $400 on four pieces of plastic but you really get what you pay for. I've seen AVS visors warp or bend after time. I've had the JDM visors for over 5 yrs and they are still in great condition. They have not warped from the sun etc. JDM visors will really last a long time.

If you really want quality and something to last a long time, I suggest saving up your money and getting the JDM visors over the AVS. It will be well worth the wait.
