Buying quality, yet expensive products isn't for everybody, but you get what you pay for!

Now on to the question function over form.....How many of you actually use your $400.00 visors the purpose which they were created?

I agree 100% and this is from a guy who had AVS visors.

I dont care what ANYONE says, they are NOT like the JDM visors. Ive seen both in person and they are nothing alike.

The AVS are chunky, bulky, and dont flow with the car IMO. I had them for about 8 months and started to warp after 2. Save your money for the JDM ones or dont get visors at all

wow a lot of bad stories for AVS huh...I've had mine for over 6 months never had any issues with it...quite frankly I love how it looks on my car.i have no issues with the installation, its not as flush as JDM but it's not BULKY as how a lot of yall are making it seem...mine isn't bent or show any warping...and even if it warps one year later I still won't buy JDM visors for $400 especially when 98% of you buy it for looks and not for actual usage....nothing in this world can justify me spending $400 for plastic.

I'm happy with spending $100 for AVS...

I agree with Ryan 100%... especially as like he has stated 98% of the people that buy those things buy them for looks. I on the other hand bought my AVS to actually use them as my car sits in the hot florida sun all day long.

should be fine, JDM visors don't interfere with the actual door jams. They just apply to the top front of the doors with 3M and then a clip at the black triangle near the side mirror

you can only really get "usage" if it actually rains, when its not, it doesnt matter which ones your have they will still only be for looks. thats kind of like saying if your car isnt on the road, your tires are useless

JDM for sure

seen a few in my area with the avs and weathertech ones
most of them look warped or bent inward.

I had a set of avs visors on my 08 is250, they sucked! the visors are soo flimsy and mine actually hit the glass when I would roll up the front driver side window. and the chrome accent started peeling on one of them. If I had to do it again I would get the jdm, but I traded in the is and now have a LS460. I bought in channel weathertech ones for the LS and they are good, but I ended up taking them off because they did not allow the window to roll all the way up, causing wind noise. so now ill have to sell them.

I'm actually the 2% that uses it everyday. I crack it open when I smoke, when it's hot out and I want a little ventilation, and open it a little when I'm on the freeway so there's not a lot of wind noise.

I had a lot of people sitting in the back opening/closing the window when I had the warped AVS visor and the it kept hitting the window. The front AVS visor didn't even sit flush with the window trim either. It bothered me so much that I just had to get the overpriced visors.

I use my JDM visors when applicable. I dont think you can "not" use them once installed.

The origional 3M tape that came with my JDM ones peeled off or bent inward like stated above for the AVS look-a-like, so its not fool proof. I had to re-apply them a year later. I have not used the AVS ones but I can tell you the JDM ones look better IMO (trust me, if you can tell which one is JDM and which is AVS, you can tell which one looks better) and seem a lot more durable.

yeah i can understand that man lol. me personally i live in vegas where it gets upwards of 110+ in the summer so there are few days if any i have the windows down or cracked. but in the rain i loved the jdm ones on my old LS400. i could still crack the window and get fresh air. but thats apples to oranges because for the LS they were only 220 bucks lol

so yeah i agree for the IS the price is steep, but, you are getting quality with that price so its a good trade off to me
