IS 350 Reliability
New to CL...looking to switch over from my bimmer to a lexus. What's the reliability of a lexus? I found a 2006 Lexus IS 350 fully loaded with 94,000 miles for approximately $15,000. Would that mileage be considered high?
The average mileage/year is 15k. For a 7 year old car... technically, no. However, the car is beyond the factory or extended warranty and parts on Lexus vehicles aren't cheap. If the maintenance history is up to date, then I would be fairly comfortable with the purchase. These are overall pretty reliable cars.
58,000 miles on my '06 IS 350. Not one problem with the car. No rattles, no leaks, no electrical glitches. Just a good, solid, dependable automobile. Only at the dealers for the recalls. I fully expect when it hits 94,000 miles it will still get the same report!
Thanks everyone for the input...i'll definately be purchasing a lexus within the next couple of months...just waiting for the right deal! Being built by Toyota, i'm sure Lexus is way more reliable than my beamer.
