Default TPMS valve cap

I made a TPMS bomb yesterday and the tire pressure light is still on. I just realized that I never put the valve cap on them, could that be what is keeping the tire pressure light on?

In short answer. NO.

You probably did not seal it properly and it is leaking somewhere. Same happened to me, got tired of making pipe bombs so I stuck them in my spare tire.

I decided to try and stick them in my spare and I couldn't even get the tire off. Any tricks to getting the spare tire off the rim?

haha I didnt literally do it myself

You have to take it to any tire shop because they have to break the bead, throw the sensors in, and remount the tire. They should only charge you about $10 to do this. No need to balance your spare.

vroomin, did you secure them inside of the spare or are they just floating around?

On my old wheel setup they were just floating around inside the tire.

I'd find some way to secure them, just in case you ever need to use the spare. Maybe just duct tape them to wheel well?

Duct tape works. I have seen it in a few spares. I work at a tire center. Make sure you do not tape of the pin sized air inlet on the side of the sensor or it will read low pressure.

Both methods below will work. Like SFFD I just threw them in. There was a member who once had to use his spare with the sensors floating around inside and he drove on it with no problems.
