Default Wald Spoiler Installation Adhesive?

For those of you who have authentic Wald spoilers that didn't mold them what did you use to attached the spoiler? Photos too if you have them.

Based on the bottom design that sits on the trunk I would have to expect the use of automotive 3M tape however there really isn't a recess for the tape or and channel for it to sit into. I know this doesn't matter for adhesion but afraid it will be exposed from the sides once fully installed which I don't want.

Thanks in advance!

my Wald is molded but to be honest, I'd use some automotive adhesive. I take my stuff to a body shop so I don't know a specific brand but you may ask a body shop. I'm really not a fan of double stick tape AT ALL! your car is way too nice to have gaps. good luck.

I have my Wald on with 3M tape and it works just fine and looks good. Its the same double sided tape that the OEM trunk spoiler uses as well. I don't want some adhesive that is stuck to the paint forever.

3M double-sided tape would work, but as with Sffd103, molding would eliminate the gaps from the add-on. I'd suggest purchasing a larger size of the tape in case you want to install other parts. Home Depot for sure sells it in a larger size, and it will definitely cover a front lip, trunk spoiler, rear diffuser, etc. It is pretty strong, too.

I'm looking to install the OEM one so you are saying 3M molding tape will do the job?

I used the 3m black tape which is the strongest via 3m's chart. I bought both 1/4" and 1/2". Used only 1/2" on the Wald Spoiler and everything seems to be perfect. Thanks guys...
