I purchased a USED key fob on eBay for my 2IS and made sure the numbers matched my original key fob. I took it to the dealer to get programmed and they told me the key didn't catch the programation with my car. Does anyone know if there's more to the key fob than just the FCC ID?

 

people dive into dumpsters behind dealerships all the time and fish out stuff to sell on ebay. If the dealership couldn't program it, there might be something wrong with it, which is why it was thrown out in the first place...

 

Yes, the IC ID. Plus like previous post, could just be defective.
