Talking 2011 bumper conversion from 06

Ripped the holding tabs off my bumper and decided to get a new bumper. fortunate for me i got a 2011 bumper the next morning.
bumper fits better than my old one but i had to dremel the top of the holding tabs on the headlight brackets. and the typical gap with the air ducts in there too. only us CL people would notice that.
i think i like the old school bumpers better though. <<< (might get flamed for that)

rode around like this for a day

finished product

Welcome to the club!!! looks great! did you have any fitment issues besides the airduct? I have a minor gap where the bumper and fender meets.

yea im still working on it but i think its actually cuz my car. the corner of the headlights dont sit all the way back and i dont have the foam absorber on there. i have to order the new one as they only are one time use after you bump some one in the butt, oops!

It looks good but I'd would look even better with the F-Sport add on pieces.

On your old bumper, what lip is that? I want one for my car but don't know where to get a low profile one likes yours.

The absorber is pretty cheap. i think like $60.

Looks good. I have a 2011 F Sport bumper and I'd have to agree, I like the older bumper more cause its more flexible/bigger variety in choices of lips but I think the 11+ bumper looks sharper in a good way

i think i am just use to the variety of lips offered but the f sport definitely beefs it up a bit. when money comes in ill get the fog light lips and the grill when an ebay version comes out. as i love the debadged look.

very clean man looks good. I like the 2011+ bumper. better than doing a IS F front bumper IMO

I prefer 09 bumper. To each his own.
