Have you test driven an ISAWD yet? I would if I were you, and then decide.
A family member has just purchased a 2010 with low miles, the car has a lot of rattles and makes a lot of road noise. It could be that the tires need to be replaced soon but it is loud.
The good things are: nice materials, nice layout, lovely seats, and all the options are available.
I just can't get over how much road noise gets inside.

I currently have an 08 IS250 AWD and there really isn't that much rattling compared to the RWD. I had a 2011 IS250 RWD for loaner for 8 days and there was not that much of a difference except that AWD does sit a little bit higher than the RWD. I personally love my IS and it's the best purchase I could've possibly made. I would haggle on the price a little bit since I bought it more than a year ago with 28k miles for 26k. I thought I paid a good price for the car I got. But the car you're looking at is certified pre owned so it adds a little bit of price to it.
I would say if you really want it, go for it. The car looks clean. Only thing is that since it has 55k miles on it, the suspension might feel little harsh compared to the new ones but it's really not a big issue. Mine has 45k miles on it and of course it feels little more harsh than a brand new car. I still love the car and I do not regret it at all.
P.S. AWD has the big lump on the driver's side on the leg room and I've heard of people complaining. Personally, I rest my leg on it and I actually like it. I am 5' 10'' and weigh 220 lbs. Just a food for thought.

You should ask about the tire condition. I have 48000 mi on my '07, and I'm about to have to get my 3rd set of tires. Also, for $24,000, traveling from VA to NJ seems pretty far. That doesn't seem to me to be that great of a deal.
Turns out my wife wants blue. Am looking at this 2009 model now.

Can you experts help me out and let me know if this is a good deal? Doesn't have CPO, so i'm worried about possible carbon build up issue.

Run the VIN on the Lexus owners website so you can pull up the service history on it. Also, there was a CSP just released that covers the IS250 for the carbon build up issue for 9 years/unlimited miles from the build date. So that car is still under warranty for carbon build up. More info here:

Yea I said the same thing. Not sure why it's listed that color, but not the one in the pics. As mentioned, I'm supposed to check it out later today.
Really want to get you all's advice on the discrepancy between the carfax and the lexus vin site though.
