I've had my IS250 since December '11 and every so often I would catch my rear view mirror shaking/vibrating violently when I drive on the freeway with the sunroof open. Has anyone had this problem before? It seems that when I hit a certain speed, the wind just starts shaking my rear view mirror and the only way I can get it to stop is by closing my sunroof.
Some extra info - I got into an accident earlier this year but I was only hit in the rear left quarter panel. I don't know if that has anything to do with it.
I have included a video of it happening. The radio is off and the sunroof is open.
I have the same issue but it doesn't bother me much. I think there was another thread about this and I saw a lot of people saying there was a TSB for this.

I've looked around, but most threads are for rattling and not vibrations. Is there a place where I can look up TSB's? I also fixed the youtube link
There was a thread recently about this issue. Many who don't have 2010+ ISx50s experience this, as well as from the bass from their stereo. Lexus apparently will switch our the mirror for the newer model.
My 2010 IS350 vibrates from the bass of my stereo. However, it does not vibrate when the sunroof is open.
I think I remember someone having this problem and the dealer installed the mirror from the convertable model IS as it has a shorter more ridgid mount.
I think there are some confusing descriptions here. What the OP is stating is it vibrates. Rattling would actually be a noise, which is not happening, correct? So if it's just vibrating, then it's the typical IS problem many of us have delt with. The TSB mirror usually fixes the problem, but some have stated it did not. I'd start by reviewing some threads related to this (there are some long ones) and taking it to the dealer to have them check it out. If they offer you a replacement mirror, that may do the trick even though it's the same design. Sometimes these things take a few fixes to get right.
My old mirror used to vibrate just like yours in the freeway with/without sunroof open; after the dealer replaced the mirror with the TSB one (the one you have), the vibration is gone.
If the vibration started after the accident, that might be the cause ... maybe something is loose, see if you can tighten anything or have the dealer/shop look at it.
AFAIK, it is a structural issue. The windshield vibrates, and the mirror is on the windshield.
In fact mine has gotten worse ever since the suspension has "settled" out to be pretty hard riding and now it vibrates even on slightly rough surfaces.
