Exclamation Vibrating Rear View Mirror TSIB NV006-07

For all those who have had issues with the rear view mirror vibrating as they are driving or simply from bumping the jams loudly, as of June 8th, 2007 there is officially a TSIB to fix it! Looks like they are replacing the mirror with a new one. This fix is for the '06-'07 IS250/IS350. It is TSIB #NV006-07 INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR VIBRATION

Sweet, if anyone gets this done, please report back with results. Mine doesn't bother me that much, but it definately vibrates when moonroof open or I turn up the beatz just a little bit...thanks heads up OP!

I just spoke with the Service Adviser and he says my 2007 IS250 (built on 6/08/07) doesn't qualify for this TSIB.

I'm not sure if mine already has the new improved rear view mirror or not (it probably does since it doesn't qualify for TSIB), but I still get moderate shaking when I'm going 70+ on a fairly smooth highway.

If my car doesn't qualify for the TSIB, does that mean it already has this "new and improved rearview mirror"?

How did you find out your car was built on this exact day? My plate inside my door says built June 2007 but not an exact day.

I've noticed if I keep the bass at the middle or higher and I turn the music up past #30, the rear view inside miirror does vibrate a little not too bad. I then took the bass down past 1 or 2 bars down and the vibration stopped. But I then took my hand and held the inside rear view mirror and I could feel the strong vibration, I seriously belive the vibration comes up from the front windshield and wonder if it's from the center speaker. Really don't see how changing the mirror will change this, unless they are putting more buffer in between the mirror and the front windshield.

Someone who get this post pics and tell us the results.

Just checked the pdf file and my VIN # is "after" the production change VIN listed on the TSB so I must have the new part on mine.

I had mine replaced a few weeks back and the level of vibration is a vast improvement, but it does not completely eliminate it.

Great find ben_r..I've always had issues with the rear view mirror vibration and though it was reduced with a new windshield after a nice rock chip, it's still there and bothers me on occasion.

Guys who are out of the VIN range: Is your vibration problem bad?

I complained about it in the beginning of the year (Before the TSIB) and they replaced my mirror. However, the vibration is EXACTLY the same and there is no improvement.

yeah, caymandive, but you need to be careful when you get your tsb done for this. Your last rear view mirror issue was going to cost you a fortune because those crooks at the lexus dealership in your neck of the woods.

while we are on the topic of rearview mirrors (i will be getting this correction done), i was curious if you guys notice the impact of the anti-glare button. i hardly see the difference, wondering if mine is bad or not.
