So I took my car to the dealership and all they did was just tighten the mirror which did nothing. The service advisor said that's just how the car is and there's nothing they can do. Basically he said that I can't drive with the sunroof open without that happening.

Is that really all they can do? I mean it seems like a super flawed design and something should be done about it no?

If your still under warranty, they should be replacing the whole rear view mirror or find some ways to fix it because "that's just how the car is" is an unacceptable excuse. It just makes no sense for a 30k+ car to have a vibrating rear view mirror at all, regardless if the sunroof is open or not.

I've sat in several ISx50 with the sunroof open and none of them have this issue.

I just picked up a 2014 Lexus IS 350C F Sport and have the same rear-view mirror issue with it vibrating. I also had to adjust it 3 times because it would not stay in one place. The last time it fell off, so now I have to get it repaired. I tried putting it back on, but it won't stay. Anyways, I am confused about the TSIB mentioned in this thread. It is for 2006 - 2007 model years. So, this is still an issue years later on the newer IS models?
