Default 2012 Lower headlights replacement?

I dont know the specific name for these lower headlights, but it's the lower dotted LED looking ones that appear in a horizontal line. Help me out with the name here! :P I know these will eventually run out, but is replacing a specific bulb hard to locate? These lights are almost always on.

are u referring to the whole LED strip? If so this thread should help you out not exactly a DIY but the OP should be able to point you in the right direction https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...eadlights.html

Thanks, yeup that's what I was talking about. So, if one of the lights on the strip goes out, I pretty much have to replace the entire thing?

yep but I highly doubt its gonna go out unless you tamper with your headlights I haven't heard of anyone having any issues with the 2012 headlights other than some experiencing the bubbling defect like the 2011 lights. Did you just buy a 2012 model or did you just buy some 2012 from Sewell? Either way both should be covered under warranty. Theres plenty of other things thats gonna break on your IS before those LEDs lol trust me

I just bought the 2012 model. I highly doubt it'll go out as well, but just using it as a future reference haha. I thought warranty doesnt cover lights..

Well someone correct me if I'm wrong but what they dont cover is like your hid bulbs fog light bulbs etc but I would believe that the LED strip itself isn't gonna be considered a standard bulb that the Lexus would expect its customers to be able to replace themselves.

Oh, cause I thought all light bulbs were consider wear and tear, therefore I thought they were not considered to be under warranty.

I would contact your dealership to be sure. But I highly doubt Lexus expects anyone to bake their headlights to open it up and replace the leds then reseal the headlights. And I bet they will tell you that the LEDs wont go out.
