I dont think you should smoke out your tails, it will looks tackey IMO

But if you must, try using tint instead of spraying so its removable

Tint i was told will rip and bubble over time due to how our tail lights have a sharp curve at the edges.

VHT Nite Shades. It does not turn purple and is not dull if done properly and topped with clear coat.

You shouldnt have a problem if its done right. Thats how mine were done and held up nicely for 6 months before I removed them.

A member was selling a pair of smoked tails in the classifieds here a few months ago. They looked sweet. If I'm not mistaken, he had bought them from another member. Seems like they were sprayed, wet sanded and cleared several times.

The nicest jobs ive seen were from body shops. They take the clear coat and add several drops of black base just enough to tint the clear. Then they scuff the taillight and spray the clear on them. Then after that cure for a day or two you can buff n polish them

You could always try Plasti-Dip Smoke but I wouldn't recommend it. Just throwing that out. It'll look matte and dull looking

Don't do it....you drive a Lexus!!!!

If you do, go to a shop and professionally have them cherried. I saw a member on here with a white F-Sport and cherried tails. Verry aggressive and still looks classy.

Let's get some Photos of cherried and smoked tails. Not blacked out. And post the set up.

I dont get why people are so scared to paint and think they need to take such a small job as tail lights to a shop to get done. Do it yourself!!
