my buddy did mine and he scuffs the lens and mixes clear with black paint, and buffs out to a smooth finish later.its been 18 months and still looks like the first day when it was done, everyoe compliments the look and smooth glossy finish. when i tell them that its painted they say WOW , mine dont look that good. and i ask them what did you use and they say vinyl, and im like and they say can you do mine like yours and i tell them sure for this much......

 

Yours looks good but i would just not black out the reverse bulbs. But this wat im looking to do. How much did you pay to do yours?

Do you have a picture at night how much lights transmits?

 

at night you can see the lights very clear and reverse as well.. my tailights are not too dark and not too light, they are tinted just enough so you can still see a bit of the redish lense. when in reverse it looks white still.
i paid 75 bucks and i send him alot of jobs.

Hoovey2411 the ONLY person I've seen that has done a black on tail lights mod thats tasteful, and not tacky or ricey etc..
