The issue here is that the OP did not search first. There was already a thread to answer his question so why bother making another one?

The whole point of the search feature is to avoid making unnecessary threads. He wasnt being an a-hole about it, he just pointed the OP in the right direction.

I understand that. Telling the OP to just search isn't very helpful after he's already made the thread. You could at least teach him how to do it. OP- I typed "bumper tab" in the search box and then choose only the 2nd Gen IS forum. The thread I found was on the first page.

It also doesn't help people in the future if you just tell the OP to search. Someone will search for this and find a useless thread. It's not the end of the world if there's more than one thread covering the same topic. At least now there is a link to a good thread in here.

Yeah its not the end of the world if there is ONE more "useless" thread. The problem is that a new user will stumble upon threads like this and just ask a quesion expecting to get an answer without searching. Its basically about damage control.

And there is a big red search button at the top of the screen. I would hope that its easy to see.
